Responsible entertainment rules
The rules we run casino-style programmes by, in full, in one place.
Last updated: 14 October 2026
This document is an informational template prepared for this website and should be reviewed by a lawyer qualified in Australia before publication.
1. Adults only
Participation in our programmes is limited to guests aged 18+. The organiser or the client may ask a guest to confirm their age, and people under the age limit are not admitted to casino-style activities. The one exception is the family day programme, where the separate family activity line is designed for children accompanied by a parent or guardian and contains no casino-style activity at all.
2. Tokens, credits and the absence of stakes
- Tokens are props. They are handed out by the host, carry no denomination, and are collected at the end of the programme.
- Tokens cannot be bought, cannot be topped up, and cannot be exchanged for money, goods, vouchers or valuable prizes.
- No stakes of money or property are placed at any point, and the result of an activity gives a participant no financial benefit.
- Where machines are part of a programme, each machine runs on its own internal credit balance. Credits are issued by the machine itself, guests pay nothing into it, coin and note acceptors are removed, and nothing on screen converts into money, goods or prizes.
- Any trophy or certificate handed over at the end of a tournament is symbolic, and is provided by the client rather than won from us.
3. This is not gambling
Because there are no stakes and no winnings of money or valuable prizes, the service is not gambling under the Interactive Gambling Act 2001 (Cth) or under the gaming legislation of the state or territory where the event takes place, and it does not require a gaming licence.
4. Voluntary participation
Nobody has to join an activity. Guests can watch, talk, or spend the evening away from the tables entirely, and our hosts are briefed never to persuade. Every programme is laid out so that there is somewhere to sit and talk while the activities run.
5. Running the evening safely
- Alcohol is not part of our programme and is never supplied by us: drinks are the client's or the venue's responsibility.
- Our hosts may pause or close an activity if behaviour becomes unsafe or unpleasant for other guests, and will tell the client's contact immediately.
- Crew follow the venue's safety rules, keep cable runs covered, and stop work if a situation on site becomes unsafe.
6. If casino-style activities are not right for someone
Casino-style themes can be unwelcome for a guest who has had difficulty with gambling, and we would rather you choose another format than put anyone in that position. The catalogue has plenty that involves no cards, tables or machines at all:
- Against the Clock — portable puzzle rooms and a quiz championship;
- Across the Map — destination stations and a tropical evening;
- On the Dancefloor — retro and colour-reactive dancefloor formats;
- Out in the Open — the daylight company and family programme;
- Under the Lights — a gala or a carpet arrival with a stage and a host.
Tell us in the enquiry and we will plan the room so that no guest has to walk past an activity they would rather avoid.
7. Information and help
We mention this as general information, without any claim of partnership: in Australia the National Gambling Helpline can be reached on 1800 858 858, and support is also available online at https://www.gamblinghelponline.org.au/. If the subject of gambling worries you or someone close to you, those services are free and confidential.
8. Questions about taking part
Write to [email protected] or call +61 406 226 017. If a guest has a question they would rather not raise with their own employer, they can write to us directly.
